Learn to spot a financial scam

Part of securing your finances is being on the lookout for scams. Americans lost over $5.8 BILLION to fraud in 2021 according the FTC, with 2.8 million people filing fraud complaints.

It’s very, very hard to get back money you’ve lost to a scam so spotting them before you get caught up in them is key. They can be hard to spot but there are usually a few details that give them away. 

If you get a phone call, email, or message out of the blue watch for a sense of urgency from the person you’re talking to, a request for strange payment methods, or a demand of secrecy.
