Don’t Let Scammers Steal Your Hard Earned Money

Our monthly topic for August is security. Keeping your money safe has gotten trickier as the way we manage it has moved to apps and online. According to the FTC, Americans lost $8.8 BILLION to fraud in 2022!

It’s very, very hard to get back money you’ve lost to a scam so spotting it before you get caught up in one is key. This is easier said than done, but there are usually a few details that give them away. 

If you get a phone call, email, or message out of the blue watch for a sense of urgency from the person you’re talking to, a request for strange payment methods, or a demand of secrecy. These things are key to most scams. So what should you do if you suspect a scam but aren’t sure? Basically the opposite of what they want.  Read our full article here for all the details.
