Just One Thing for December
As 2022 winds down now is a good time to look back on the year and reflect on the things you accomplished, things you didn’t quite get to, and the things you’d like to change for the coming year. If you do just one thing for your finances this December, this should be it.
If you’re not sure where to start, here are five questions to point you in the right direction.
1) Do you have an emergency fund? Does it need to be replenished?
2) Do you have high interest debt (such as credit cards)? Do you have a plan to pay it down?
3) Was your spending on track? Do you know where your money went?
4) What’s one good financial habit you know you should have but just can’t get started on?
5) What’s one bad financial habit you just can’t shake?
No matter the answers, each of these can be an opportunity for 2023. Don’t worry about solving any problems right now. Just think about these questions and be honest with yourself to get a clear picture of what you want to improve next year. If you want some help setting better goals, read this short article.
