Don’t Spend Money Before You Have It
This week’s catchy quote comes from Thomas Jefferson; his third Canon of Conduct to be exact. Our third president said to “never spend money before you have it” and we couldn’t agree more.
Some people refer to it as sticking to a budget, or living within your means, but the basic idea is always the same. You need to spend less money than you bring in. It’s the single most important thing you can do for your overall financial wellness whether you’re 20 years old and just starting out or 48 and thinking about how you’ll retire one day.
